Operations/ Departmental Manager Level 5 Standard

The Management Level 5 Apprenticeship is ideal for Apprentices who are at the start of their career and who wish to take their first steps into professional management, as well as those who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.

The Apprentice will learn about a range of areas such as operational management principles, business management principles, project management, performance management, leadership and management techniques, relationship management and communications.

The Apprentice will work towards a knowledge test, interview, portfolio assessment, project presentation and Q&A and professional discussion. With guidance and learning from a Blue Sky Development Advisor, the Apprentice will compile a range of evidence including assignments, professional discussions, presentations and observations to demonstrate skills, knowledge and company behaviours.

On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership & Management, and those with 3 years’ of management experience can apply for Chartered Manager status through the CMI.

Management Level 3

This Apprenticeship is for staff who manage a team and are responsible for performance, or for those middle managers who have a wider managerial role. This qualification can be delivered across all sectors with its blended learning for all staff encompassing your company’s goals and objectives. We can help develop leadership skills within your business; giving your managers the essential skills to develop a more motivated and productive workforce. Your staff will benefit from our experienced assessor’s flexible delivery and awareness of your training needs with regular contact and supporting visits. The Apprentice will be assessed by observation, professional discussion and using evidence of learning from within their workplace. This is an excellent career path for your staff to develop their skills in your business.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Management
  • Functional Skills Maths, English & ICT (if not previously achieved)
