Build a Buddy!
The team at Blue Sky are used to supporting and inspiring learners to grow their talent so it seemed an opportunity not to be missed when one of our assessors, Kate, suggested building a buddy to keep us company as we work in isolation at home.
Our Director, Jane, was quick to pick up on the idea and got the team involved in each making a character from bits and pieces around the house and garden.
The team have been really creative with buddies being made from items such as loo rolls, plastic bottles and sugar paste. The office buddies came in an array of shapes, colours and sizes. Enter… Tallulah, Forky and Princess Positivity amongst others!
Kate’s parents even got involved in building a full-sized buddy, which they admitted afterwards did cause some alarm when they entered the room having forgotten the buddy was there!
The Blue Sky team are rolling the idea out to all their learners and hope that others will have fun building a buddy. This is a quick and easy solution to the problem of working in isolation and one that has caused lots of laughter and enjoyment at a time when there is anxiety and worry about the Coronavirus.
BBC Radio Suffolk loved the build your own buddy idea, and Mark Murphy interviewed Jane about this on his Breakfast Show this morning! BBC Radio Suffolk have made their own companion and are inviting listeners to do the same and to share them.

If you build your own buddy do share it with us at Blue Sky. We’d love to see it!
